Steubenville City Schools (SCS) has created a kindergarten through twelfth grade STEM education model of continuous involvement, monitoring, encouragement, and communication with students, parents, teachers, and staff to support successful completion of coursework. Through the STEM education model, Steubenville City Schools is preparing students to build the skills necessary to be successful in college and the highly competitive 21st-century workforce. The STEM programming provides the tools and space for exploration and invention while fostering a culture of collaborative inquiry among students and teachers. The STEM curriculum emphasizes connections within and between the fields of mathematics and science with meaningful integration of technology and hands-on learning, project- based activities.
